How to apply through your charter school enrolled student
STEP 1: Gather Your Information
What you will need to apply:
An email address
A form of Identification
This could be the last 4 digits of your social security number (not needed) OR Birth Certificate (from the U.S. or any country), Driver’s License, CA ID, Passport (from any country), ITIN
Proof that your student is enrolled in one of the charter schools listed above. (AIMS, Arise, BayTech, Community School for Creative Education, Envision Academy, Lodestar, or Lighthouse)
This could include:
Recommended: Proof of Enrollment Letter & Student ID (sample; pre-approved by FCC). *If you don’t receive your Enrollment Letter by mid-April go to your school’s Main Office and ask for a copy.
ORCopy of student’s latest report card AND a screenshot of your student’s Aeries Parent Portal with your student’s information.
A form of identification for your student
This could include:
The student ID Copy from your student’s ACP packet (sample here),
OR
the last 4 digits of their social security number (not required)
OR
Birth Certificate (from the U.S. or any country), Driver’s License, CA ID, Passport (from any country), or their ITIN
STEP 2: APPLY! (Online is fastest)
Apply online at www.getinternet.gov

STEP 3: Contact an Internet Service Provider
Call your Internet Service Company and say “I’m calling to apply my ACP benefit”
Share your application ID (11-digit ID in the following format: B12345-67890)
Save!
You should see a $30/month discount applied to your bill moving forward.
Once your application has been approved, contact an internet service provider and share your Application ID
(11-digit ID in the following format B12345-67890).
You can receive one ACP benefit per household.
NOTE: Besides having a dependent at an OUSD school, there are many more ways to qualify.
